VAWA Evaluations

A compassionate psychological evaluation documenting the abuse you experienced and its impact—supporting your VAWA self-petition with credible clinical evidence.

Who It's For

When a VAWA Evaluation Helps

The Violence Against Women Act allows certain abused spouses, children, and parents of U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents to petition for status on their own, without relying on the abuser. Because so much of that abuse is emotional and psychological, documenting its impact is often a key part of the petition.

In a VAWA evaluation, I meet with you in a safe, supportive setting to understand what you experienced and how it has affected you, then document that in a clear clinical report. I work alongside your attorney; the evaluation is supporting evidence, not legal advice, and cannot guarantee an outcome.

What the Evaluation Documents

The nature and pattern of the abuse experienced
Emotional and psychological impact of that abuse
Symptoms of trauma, depression, or anxiety
Effects of coercive control and emotional abuse
Impact on daily functioning and sense of safety
Overall clinical picture in credible, court-ready terms
